How well is your business message being heard above the other commercial noise?
I was pondering this recently.
Sitting in the garden with my two feathered pals, enjoying an end-of-workday cup of tea, I smiled as I listened to them chatting, whistling and singing to…whoever!
Their distinctive calls cut through the bird song and caught the attention of several of my neighbours. Before long, there was an amusing dialogue carrying on between my parrots and other unseen people!
Someone heard their voices. Their calls were intriguing and merited a response – and they got it.
The message dawned on me.
If you want to keep bringing people to you, cut through the everyday business noise, be different, and make yourself heard.
However you do it–web, print, podcast, video, none of it will give you the returns you want if you sound just like everyone else.
Finding that different angle, that unique message is the key to attracting your customer’s attention, getting them to want to contact you and learn more.
You might have your own in-house team who are star writers and can turn an idea into a powerful piece of narrative. If not, then professionals like myself are here to take your thoughts and create messages that will achieve the results you want.
Sometimes it can be as simple as a set of blog posts or a series of well-thought-out articles. Perhaps even a change of strapline.
So, make reviewing your marketing messaging a priority. It’s the chance to refresh everything and cut through that white noise.
The response might just surprise you and bring you more business.
